Healthy Lifestyle support for your school – following the NCMP your school might want some support.

School Workshop - Change Makers offers school workshops for KS1 and KS2. For KS1 they offer a 45-minute workshop looking at living a healthy lifestyle covering both nutrition and physical activity. For KS2 they offer two separate workshops, each 45-60 minutes. The first covers nutrition. The second covers physical activity, and the physical activity workshop ideally fits into a PE lesson. The workshops are interactive and provide tips on how they can embed what they have learnt into their lifestyle.

7 Week School Programme  - Change Makers Healthy Lifestyle Programme, is designed around the concept of behaviour change, helping children to consider adopting a healthier lifestyle. The programme is run after school with families for 7 weeks, each session is 60 minutes. The sessions are interactive and cover the following topics: Eatwell Guide, potions size, food labelling, physical activity, my healthy day, fruit and vegetables, sugar and oral health. If it has been highlighted that healthy eating is one of your schools priorities in your Public Health Action Plan or your school has a higher percentage of children above a healthy weight following the NCMP, then the 7 week programme is recommended.
